Hiya everyone--
Well, we made it. You know, I keep thinking those flights are going to get better . . .but the truth is . . .they are just never easy! Gavin did fabulous, however. He slept on the whole flight to Dulles, and then played for most of the flight to England. He did fall asleep about 2 hours before landing, and I carried him to our next flight, sound asleep. Poor kid. This time change really screws up his schedule. And ours too . . .the first night here, Spencer laid awake for most of the night. And last night, we both did. Gav had a hard time sleeping as well, so Spence and I tag-teamed with him. I think getting back on schedule is the hardest thing.
Funny story. Spence and I went for a walk yesterday evening. The weather is so nice and it was cool enough to enjoy our windows being open. We walked to this beautiful park called Valley Gardens. This place reminds me of the Garden of Eden. So lush and gorgeous. The only place I've ever seen leaves the size of small children. Amazing. So we had pulled off to watch the ducks in the nearby pond when we heard some rustling in the bushes. Spencer wandered over to this little stairwell tucked away. He walked back, chuckling, and said, "We should probably go now". A couple of teenagers were frolicking in the bushes. It seemed like something out of a movie. Maybe they were celebrating the Italians winning the World Cup or something.
Well. I think that's it for now. We're having some problems with the internet and we've got a call in to get it fixed. Until then, we have to use a huge long wire all the way from our bedroom. Not very practical with a 2 year old running around. And our Vonage phone isn't hooked up yet, so all of you trying to call . . .you'll have to wait a few more days. Sorry. Ha ha.

Didn't we just see you on the Fourth?--or was I dreaming? It was so good to be with you. Glad you had a good flight. I can't believe that you are half-way around the world today.
