As I pulled away from my house today.

I realized it.

I forgot my phone.
Dangit.

I hate that.

And I was right on time.
So going back would've made me late.
And that is simply unacceptable.
Right, honey?

My anxiety of the situation raised as the day grew on.

What if someone is trying to reach me?
What if Spencer thinks I've crashed the car and am now lying in a ditch?
What if my mom needed to tell me about an awesome sale at Target?

The homesickness
(for my phone)
got worse when we were stopped at a light and Gavin said,
"Hey mom. Is that guy a cowboy?"
Obviously talking about the man in the ginormous hat in front of us.
"He's wearing a cowboy hat. He's wearing boots. He must be a cowboy,"
I quickly replied.
"Well, then. Where's his horse?"

Oh yes.
Spencer would've enjoyed that one.
But.
I had no phone.

Hours later we arrived home.
And there she was.
Sitting on my counter.
My mind began racing with all the missed calls and texts.

I picked it up.

Opened it.

And.

Zero missed calls.

I'm a loser.

I did, however, remember my camera.

I love it. I'm such a mess without my phone! The thing is, no one really calls me, but WHAT IF!!?!! One of these days Ed McMan (is that his name) is going to call me and tell me I've won a trillion dollars, but only if I call back in the next in the next thirty seconds...what'll I do then?!

I hate when that happens! I feel like I've gone without pants when I leave my phone.
