We are now a statistic.

Well, tonight we joined the other 95% of Americans and added Costco to our place of frequent visits. I sure hope Target doesn't get lonely. What a place. We shopped (with BOTH our children in the double cart), we ate pizza and hot dogs. We bought a bunch of unnecessary stuff. See below for our fabulous purchases:

The best homemade tortillas ever (Thanks Alli and Scott. We owe your our life.).
A ginormous bag of chocolate chips. Remember, mom, when I made fun of your bag in the pantry? Guilty.
A HUGE can of nacho cheese. Spencer said it best: "We'll have to throw about 3/4 of that away. But man, we'll enjoy that other 1/4.". And after we opened it and had some nachos he said, "See, Jordan, don't you just feel like you're at the fair right now???". Yes. Great.
22 packets? I'll never have cold cereal again.
The BEST hash browns ever. And super easy. To all you breakfast burrito fans out there . . . here's my little secret. Enjoy.

Yea for you guys! You finally entered the innersanctum. We lovingly refer to it as the $300 club.

So, did this turn out to be the best part of your day?

"Mom, you'll die me..."

You know what's funny? We've been going to Cost-a-lot-co ever since we've been married and I have never bought any of those items except for the chocolate chips. That nacho dip made me want to hurl. That's the thing about Costco, you walk by the gynormous cans of mayo and syrup and just thinking about how much crap is in there makes you want to lose it. Did you buy the tortillas? I want to know what kind they are!?!? I'm at the point where I think I might start making my own tortillas. The store bought kind are SO nasty. This is one more step along the path to the consumeristic America. Next you need to own a suburban or sequoia...

Funny, we went there tonight too....and Nate dreads it because you can't leave without spending atleast $150. Our big purchase was a 4" mattress pad...and boy am I going to sleep well tonight...even if we did spend a lot of money. Atleast dinner was only $6 for all of us to eat, right...I'd like to think that makes up for it.

MMMmmm....It looks like you got some good stuff. I love the comment Gavin made on your drive today........gotta love them. Life through the eyes of a child is just amazing. Your blog is great, love it!

We've been using those tortillas for a couple years, since our Honduran neighbor told us about them. They are a good find. Congratulations!
ps Walmart and Safeway have them in a small package.

I want to know about the tortillas too. I agree with Megan--the store-bought tortillas are getting grosser and grosser. I'm wondering if they're guererro. I really like those, but they're hard to find. My parents buy home-made ones from a local tortilla shop and they're incredible! I want to find a place like that...like Cafe Rio tortillas. Yum!

We have gone to costco for years, yet never been duped into buying that big can of nasty nacho cheese...congratulations to costco for selling a can of it!

Mmm, those are yummy tortillas. I've never actually bought them though. I've just tasted them many times when they were being demoed. We are big fans of the Carnation Instant Breakfast- and it's seriously a good deal at Costco. I only recently came to find out that people buy that nacho cheese sauce. Our neighbors across the street have it- and I think they'll make it through the whole can- AND their kids aren't old enough to really be helping. Good luck with that. Costco is one of my favorite stores- despite the $100 minimum purchase.
