Alright, everyone has been asking what the name of our new baby will be. And since he'll be here one week from today (WOO HOO!), we're ready to tell. Here's how we came up with the name:
I have always loved the name Reese. And I was lucky enough to marry someone with the same love. Reese is Spencer's middle name. So it wasn't hard deciding that we wanted to use it . . .we just didn't know if we wanted to use it for a boy or girl. I love it for a girl, but Spencer wasn't so sure. So after some persuading, we decided with boy. And I love it!
When we lived in England and found out that we were pregnant, we really began looking for a name that was significant of our area. We thought of Darley (Darley Dixon--ha ha) and Ripon(Ripon Dixon--I don't think so). We lived at the corner of Leeds and Otley road, but I really couldn't see either of those names working as a first name. However, we could use Otley as a middle name. I love that it's so unique and original.
So there it is. Ask Gavin what his little brother's name is, and he'll tell you without hesitation: Reese Otley Dixon! I can hardly wait until little Gavin and Reese are best friends, then roommates, then they'll marry sisters . . .It'll be a great life.
*For those of you who have trouble reading ultrasounds (Judson and Shay) I took the liberty of labeling this one for you. Isn't this a cool picture?

Wow, I never had an ultrasound that late...that is so fun!
Cute name for a cute baby! Can't wait to see pictures!
That is an incredible picture. I don't know how anyone would have trouble seeing that sweet little face! Can't wait to see him in person!
um, yeah, i wouldn't have really gotten it. i was expecting it to be much further away. but its a super upclose of the face. awesome!
wow. that's really cool.
Robyn and I just watched a Reese Witherspoon movie, and it was pretty decent, considering it was a chick-flick. Not that this has much to do with your baby, boy, but it is slightly coincidental.
I like the name, but did you consider Reese Leeds Dixon?
Can we call him Leeds anyway?
