Summer is officially over!!!

Ho hum. Fall is here. We visited Newcastle this weekend. It has the most amazing coastline I've seen so far. The huge cliffs made me feel so small. What an awesome sight to see the enormous waves break on the sharp rocks below. The wind was blowing (as you can see in the picture) and that made the waves unbelievable. We got some really great pictures of some lighthouses that you can see at www.dixondetails.com. Spencer is one great photographer.

We also visited Alnwick Castle. What an amazing place!! Not only were movies like Harry Potter and Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves filmed there . . .but there is a family that still lives there! The Percey's have lived in this castle for 700 years and while on the tour, you are able to see many pictures and evidence that they actually carry on with life there. Can you imagine? Woah. It's amazing and very impressive.

So overall, we had a great weekend. Can't believe we only have like 6 weeks left here . . .

Sounds like a fun trip. It's cold here too. Brrr. Cherie, Mike, Dad and I headed to Trier and Luxembourg City on Sat. There was a Roman festival in Trier and we managed to avoid the rain all day. They are off to Holland, Belgium and France now. Ooolala...
