I really love England, but one thing I've noticed since arriving just one week ago (Can you believe it's only been one week???) is that everything is different. And I'm not just talking about the obvious stuff like driving on the wrong side of the road, the accent and the time change. I'm talking about everything else. For example, I can walk to ASDA (like Walmart, but different) and pick up a box of Frosties (Frosted Flakes but different). As I'm walking home, I see a Ford Focus (named the same, but looks different). I stop in at McDonald's and order a meal. My Chicken Deluxe with Bacon comes out with onion rings (at McDonald's???) and Fanta, with no ice. And even the Fanta tastes different here. The ketchup is tangier, the BBQ sauce is sweeter. I come home and turn on Deal or No Deal. TOTALLY DIFFERENT. Do you get where I'm going with this? Point being. I WILL find something on this little journey that is the same. Mark my words.
We rode the train to York today. We love York. I think that's my favorite city in England. I sat next to a woman on that train that was a "traditional European" (think lots of hair). That is one thing I just don't get. In the land of no air conditioning and very little flow, wouldn't you want to sweat as little as possible??? Gross. We took a bus tour and sat behind a guy who thought shirts were optional. He had more hair on his back than on his head. Once again. Gross. The people here are so nice and polite, but a few are seriously lacking in the common sense department.
Going to bed. G'night.

Do they have peanut butter there? The first time I went to Europe they didn't have it at all and then when I went a few years later they had it but it was WAY different - crystalized and weird and I think made of ground rock candy instead of peanuts.
