Gather 'round, ya'll.

It's story time.

Get ready.

This is a good one.

Once upon a time in a land far, far away
called New Mexico
There was a super fun grandma.
She loved to have her grandsons over.
And she especially loved it when they stayed for a super long time without their parents.
So she was in heaven during July when they came to visit.
In fact,
She was so happy that she took them hunting for tadpoles.
And guess what?
They found some.
They found four of them.
Well.
When the boys parents came home from their very fun, very romantic trip.
They were feeling so happy and refreshed that they didn't put up a fuss when Grandma suggested they take the tadpoles home.
They took them home
all the way to Colorado
in an old juice bottle.
Well, those tadpoles grew.
And grew.
And grew.
They turned from tadpoles into fat poly wogs.
And then into little, tiny frogs.
They were super cute and the boys mom knew that they were a fun addition to their little family.
Only.
What on earth did these frogs eat?
CRICKETS.
Ew.
So this little family went to the pet store to buy some crickets.
Turns out those frogs really, really liked crickets.
They each were eating 6 crickets a day.
(Now, I'll wait for those of you that aren't super awesome at math)
(6 crickets a day x 4 frogs= 24 crickets x 7 days a week = 168 crickets per week. 168 crickets x $0.10 = $16.80 a week)
A WEEK, people.
The boys mom and dad knew that they would never be able to feed these frogs.
But.
Winter was coming and it was too late to let these frogs go at the Reservoir down the street.
So they panicked.
And freaked out.
And didn't know what to do.
After all, they had raised these frogs from TADPOLES!
And then.
Luckily.
They found Fluker Farms.
Where they could buy lots of crickets for not lots of money.
Whew.
And now this cute little family orders crickets 1,000 at a time.

And when they come, the cute little boys must transfer them into a cage.
So they can easily feed the froggies.
But oh no!
Sometimes those crickets are fast!
And end up all over the porch.

Luckily the boys are super quick.
And luckily they opened the box OUTSIDE.
Now the frogs have food.
The boys have a pet.
Mama and daddy won't got bankrupt.
And they all lived happily ever after.

Until the spring when those little froggies are going to have to learn to fend for themselves in the real world of the Reservoir, because let's be real, I'm not going to do this forever.

The End.
