I don't know what the deal is.

But every time Spencer visits New Mexico really weird things happen to him.

I'm serious.

And what's even more weird.

They happen when I'm not around.
(Usually.)

Which is bizarre, because, well.

We go there to be TOGETHER.

For example.

The year that Spence and I got married, Spencer's brother found a car he wanted to buy in Albuquerque. They decided to take a road trip together. After buying the car, they met up in a convenience store parking lot to decide where to eat. While taking, window to window, Spence looked in his rear view mirror and noticed five guys pull up in a car behind him. They were all wearing black ski masks. SKI MASKS. Spence and his brother left. And fast.

What?

A car full of guys in ski masks?
Weird.

And it gets better.

Once, when Spencer was driving to New Mexico by himself (the boys and I had flown a few days prior) he stumbled upon an older gentleman on I-25. Neked. Walking down the freeway.

I mean.

Really?

What on earth?

Wanna hear another one?

Once Spence was driving back to Colorado (once again, the boys and I were staying a few more days with my family) and he saw three guys run across the freeway. In camo. With GUNS.

I'm not making this stuff up.

This last trip, another crazy thing happened. Although, this time, I was there to witness it. So picture this. Spence and I had ditched the kids to eat at our favorite pizza joint. Then, standing in the dining room a guy clears his throat.

"Excuse me, can I have your attention? My name is Office Tafoya and I'm with the FBI (flipping his wallet to show his ID). There's been a robbery in the area and we are looking for a Caucasian male, about 6'2 with brown hair. Witnesses said he was wearing a white shirt and tie."

In total shock, I look over to see the guy eating next to us with that exact description.

Then.

It happened.

"Excuse me, sir. You fit that description."

Suddenly it got really tense.

"Ha ha. I'm just kidding. I'm not really with the FBI. It's Monday, and I'm in a really great mood because my Raiders won this weekend! Sorry, bro (talking to the guy in the shirt and tie). I'm just messing around."

Then he walked out of the restaurant. Got in his car. And left.

Again.

Whatta what?

I don't get it.

*All pictures taken from our Jeep tour this weekend. Best birthday present ever. I mean. Seriously. It was amazing. Trust me.

Ha so hilarious! And random. But somehow it seems to fit. Only Spencer. I would have wet my pants in any of those situations.

It's like a season of CSI without the dead bodies...but Jordon...it has to be New Mexico! When we did Temple trips over there we would count all the weird things that would happen along the way. We saw a Neked guy pushing a grocery cart in the middle of nowhere. Funny thing is...we didn't even think it was weird! Kennedy just giggled cuz she saw his bum!

Sigh...Tell Spencer he makes us laugh and keeps life interesting!
