You will never believe what I found in my garage today.

I'm serious.

I had to catch it because I knew Spencer wouldn't believe me when I told him how big it was.

IT'S.HUGE.

And his name is Furby.

It's pretty ironic because when we found it,
Reese kept saying,
"MOM! IS THAT A TRATULA???"
{yes, he was SHOUTING}

After many hours of research on the internet.
We discovered it.

It is a Colorado Tarantula.

Yes people.
I just said TARANTULA.

I have to go now.
It feels like something's crawling on my foot.
Gag.

When I was little, we used to catch those all the time in AZ and play with them and let them crawl all over us. But, looking at lil' Furby makes me a little nervous. I don't think I'm as brave as I once was. How did you catch it? Did you just pick it up or trap it with the jar? I would think they'd be gone by now with all this snow and cold weather...but I guess ol' Ferbs has quite a bit of hair to keep him warm! :)

Yuck. We have found a lot of those over the years here. I've always wondered what kind of spider they were, thanks.

I am covering my neck right now! I was doing laundry a few weeks ago and one popped out of the garage door and I just about fainted! I had Noah kill because I am not crazy enough to put it in a jar! FREAK!

crazy kemsleys...whats our fascination with catching and holding onto spiders? remember our black widow that we kept for like 6 months? ew. and i hate spiders. when they're that big they feel more like animals to me rather than gross insects.
