I made it home.
And believe me when I tell you.
I was tired.
And stinky.
And that was after just one night.
And believe me when I tell you.
I was tired.
And stinky.
And that was after just one night.
I learned a few things on this little camping trip.
First of all.
I'm really not a camper.
Too cold. Too many rocks. Too outside-ish.
That maaaaay be the reason we sleep in cabins next year . . .
Second.
My friend, Karen . . .
Well.
She's, like, amazing.
Without her I wouldn't have:
*Slept in a sleeping bag.
*Laughed nearly as much.
*Found my way to the dark bathrooms.
*Sung the harmony of The Star Spangled Banner at midnight.
Oh yes we did.
And someone in the tent next to us sang too.
Thanks, whoever you are.
Third.
Testimony meeting at Girls Camp is the most sincere meeting ever.
I'm not kidding.
Those sweet girls.
Every eye wet.
Pouring out their hearts over the campfire.
It was amazing.
And, yes.
I really do have to plan next year.
Any advice?
Ideas?

Ummm...I started giggling just reading this. That was one bizarro, hilarious, tender, and yes, sleepless night. More so for you I think, having that rock in your gut and all. Can't wait until next year...it will "rock". Oh yes. It will.
How's that finger? Ditto to needing some ideas for next year. Can't we just have a slumber party or something?
You guys are real troopers! Thanks for making it special for my kiddo! She loved it and is STILL talking about it! Wish I was there for the laughs, but not all that other stuff. Like rocks...and the not sleeping thing. Eeeeesh! Sounds horrific!
Next year? How about Disney Land...don't they have lodge? Where in the handbook does it say you can't go to Disney Land? Seriously!
