I'm not gonna lie, it was a little creepy being that close to a jet engine.

The.best.time.ever.Today we went to the Wings over the Rockies Museum. We had driven past it a few times and the B-52 that is out front took our breath away. So we only figured that inside had to be impressive. And it was. Oh it was. They had a rare B-1 bomber (there's only one other one on display in the whole United States!), another rare B-18 bomber and an F-100 fighter jet that Gavin got to sit in! Once we got there, we realized that it was the 2nd Saturday of the month which meant that they open a lot of the planes and let you get inside. It was amazing. Gav just about wet his pants when we walked in the hanger and saw them all sitting there. He was in heaven. He loved driving the jet pedal car. He loved climbing in the huge helicopter. He even loved standing out in the cold to watch some model airplanes taxi in the parking lot. I think we'd better start calling him Chief Commander around our house.
