We were at the DMV today and this song was playing very softly while we were waiting for number 371 to be called. This is how the conversation went:
"Mom! Listen."
"What is it?"
"Fireworks!!!"
Since we just had an experience with fireworks, the "bomb" sound in the song sounded just like our 4th of July show.
That's not the funny part. When Spencer got home (and Dan came for dinner) I was telling them this story. And I said, "You know that song, it's 'You drop the bomb on me . . .', c'mon you know it". No. They didn't. We youtube'd it. They still had never heard it. Really? Am I going crazy? I swore EVERYONE has heard this song! What's the matta, never been to a Stake Dance before????

Total stake dance song and I picture the tall lanky nerd who goes to every dance who's dancing by himself to his own beat to this song.... Can you picture it?
i don't think i heard it at a stake dance, but i think it was on the radio a ton when i was approx. 6 years old.
I had no idea what you were talking about either until I watched the youtube video. I guess I never knew the words until now....thank you.
Jordan, I cannot find your email address anywhere. This is AJ, we got your message for the zoo too late! But we miss you and would love to meet you there another time in the near future. We have had an insane summer. Reagan was in childrens hospital for most of June, but all is well and she is almost completely back to normal. Send me an email so I can get your address in my system. Jordan, I knew exactly what song this was without having to play the video. Does that mean we're both old?
I've never heard this song either, but I've also never been to a stake dance...
What fancy footwork these guys have.
