Attic for rent.

Interesting things are happening at the Dixon home. Last Friday and Saturday Reese was up at 5 am and then at 6 am. Now, this is really unheard of since my little Reecey sleeps like . . .well . . .like a baby. But not a normal four month old. That kid is amazing. Goes down at nine, sleeps until 7 or 8. So imagine my surprise on Friday morning when I heard him rustling. I walked in his room and immediately heard two voices. A man and a woman. They were a bit muffled--sorta sounded like they were in the next room. I peeked outside (it was, after all, 5 in the morning). I saw no one. And I didn't hear anything else. So I put Reese's binky in and headed back to bed. Saturday. Same thing, but an hour later. Reese fusses, I go in, and immediately hear the same two voices. I check outside again. Nothing. So by this point, I'm getting a little freaked out, but am tired and so I head to bed. Then, as I'm laying there, trying to get to sleep, the thought dawns on me. We haven't been in our attic since we moved here. No joke. Some crazy person (or people) could be living up there and we wouldn't even know it. Suddenly pop-pop came to mind . . .

So the next night (Saturday) Spencer and I had just finished an in depth religious conversation and we were about to say goodnight. The lights were out and it was about 11:30. We have church at 8, so we were both anxious to get some sleep. The I remembered the voices. This is how the conversation went:

Me: Oh honey, one more thing. While checking on Reese the past two nights I've totally heard voices in his room. I think someone is living in our attic. Love you. Goodnight.

Spencer: WHAT???

Six o' clock comes way too early and Spencer looks like he got hit by a truck. When I asked if he was feeling okay, he said that he didn't get much sleep. Every single noise helped him to not only stay awake but TOTALLY freak himself out. By the time morning came he was sure we had visitors in the attic. I bet you can guess what he did first thing after church . . .

Nope. No one in the attic. Now let's talk about our house being haunted . . .

Hello, you didn't even mention the swing in the basement running when you went down there. I'm thinking 'haunted'...

PS Wyn's creeped out all the way over here!
