Kids of all ages, come and play!

When asked if Spencer could finish our basement I agreed under three conditions.

1. We could use it as a play room (get those toys outta my living room!!!)
2. I could keep half of the basement for storage (after all, what's a basement for if you can't store your junk down there???)
3. We couldn't take out a home equity loan (or any loan for that matter) to do it.

Gees, I sound pretty bossy. So after two days and many sore muscles, we have the finished product. And I couldn't be happier. A low maintenance room where Gavin can play until the cows come home. It even has padded walls . . . I'm in heaven.

Thanks, honey. You're my hero.

PS. Yes, that is food storage Gavin is standing on . . .you work with what you've got.

Isn't Spencer clever this morning! Nice job and what a fun place for the kiddos to hang out.

1. Gavin is going to jump from the top of those boxes and break his arm.

2. Does the room come with a straight jacket? Are those padded walls for Gav or for you after a particularly bad day?

A BASEMENT! Wow...what a concept. We'll NEVER find one of those (finished or unfinished) in New Mexico.

Looks like a really fun place. I need a padded room of my own, but not for the same reasons as Gav.

Let's just say there's a lock on the basement door for those "long" days. And the padded walls are so he doesn't hurt himself, or others . . .(name the movie)
