The summer sun isn't the only thing that is rising earlier and earlier. My three year old son is as well. Yesterday was 6:25. Today is was 6:15. At this rate, early morning seminary should be a breeze. I'm not complaining--the three hour nap during the day is well worth getting up early. Okay so back to my point. We have this rule at our house that Gavin can come lay in our bed in the morning only if he lays or plays quietly until the clock says "7". He's gotten pretty good at laying still, but for some reason he loves MY SPOT. We have a queen size bed, which I thought was totally big enough when we bought it. And as I was just about to fall off the bed this morning, I thought about how nice it would be to have a giant bed. Spencer's been wanting one since we got married, and now I want one too. I just keep thinking that as the kids get bigger it only makes sense to get a bigger bed, right? It would be like staying in a hotel every night . . .

tell you what...i'll totally pitch in to get you guys a new bed...but i'd like to have your queen.
Deal.
We have a cal. king and I guess I didn't realize how I take it for granted until I went to a friends house and she and her husband were sleeping in a DOUBLE! Now that, is crazy.
Ew a double??? That's like sleeping at my parents house!!!
Just kidding, mom. Ain't got nothin' but love for ya, and that bed!!!
Hey, those doubles that Gage and Logan sleep in are a BIG step up from the twins you guys grew up sleeping in! Remember, they weren't bought for you and Spencer (or Cherie and Mike, Imogene and Alan, Susi and Spade)to sleep in the once a year we see you.
Wow, I guess we should have invested in something bigger!
We've also always had a king. Definitely the best investment we've made. But there's no room for the kids with the way I sprawl out. We have blankets set up on the floor for them.
Nick and I shared a full-size as well the first year and a half of our marriage, before we got a king. We must have liked eachother a whole lot more then. Just kidding...
First, it's the king, then it's seperate toothpaste tubes, then it's his and her blogs. Are you sure your marriage can handle a better night's sleep? :)
