The boys have been out of school the past two days.
You know.
Parent/teacher conferences.
It's been fun having my kids around.
Plus my additional "loaners".
Connor and Andrew.
We've been having lots of fun and these two days have been super educational.
Look.
Here.
I'll tell you what I've learned.
First of all.
When they open up, they look like owls.
Their predators (lizards, snakes and frogs) don't like owls.
So they leave them alone.
Amazing right?
Another thing I learned.
These butterflies.
They only live for five days.
And their bodies are so huge.
Because they don't have mouths.
No seriously.
They eat so much when they are caterpillars that they can live off of their body fat for their entire life as a butterfly.
Fascinating, huh?
The difference between moths and butterflies really depends on their antenna?
Moths are fuzzy.
Butterflies are not.
Seriously, people.
I should work at the Butterfly Pavilion.
See?
No fuzz = butterfly.
No fuzz = butterfly.
Wanna know what else I've learned these past two days?
That even though it's winter, my kids love to play in the hose.
And between all four boys SOMEONE IS ALWAYS EATING.
And even in a whiteout snow storm they never get cold.
And watching a Kung Fu movie always leads to Kung Fu fighting.
And they all have two speeds: Running and sleeping.
And video games are the best motivator. Ever.
And after these two days.
I feel really smart.

Haha this post made me happy! You should feel smart. Also, can I just say that when I was in 5th grade for a project I wrote about things that seem similar but are different: Alligator vs Crocodile, Tortoise vs Turtle etc. And I remember trying to do moths and butterflies and not knowing how. So I'm glad you answered the question that I forgot I didn't know the answer to!
You are smart and what a cute blog. Sounds like you guys have had a fun time.
Here is a blog a lady in East Stake has. She just was released from her calling as YW Pres. and called to be the Primary Chorister. Ha!
