Guess what?!?!

We only live 5 hours from Moab!!!

I know, right?

Why have we lived here for 9 years and NEVER been?

Well no more, my friends.

Welcome to Moab 2011.


And I'm not going to put money on this,

but I feel it's safe to say this trip tops any other Kemsley Family trip.

Well.

Maybe not.

Disneyland back in 1999 was pretty awesome.

And Mexico in 2001 was pretty great.

And there was that Italy trip back in '04 was totally amazing.

Okay so.

Let's just say.

This Kemsley trip held strong.

I mean.

Here we are on the (freakishly high) rapids on the Colorado river.

Yes, friends.

That's my 50-something year old father.

Our guide, Marissa, really wanted us to flip.

But.

We didn't.

Naturally.

And check it.

We totally hiked to THE Arch.

We were told it was a 40 minute hike.

40 minute hike, my booty.

Just saying.

Totally worth it, though.

Seriously.

Breathtaking.

Speaking of breathtaking.

Who knew the desert was so beautiful?

I mean.

For reals.

PS. I'm pretty sure my kids would LIVE on 4 wheelers.

Especially when Uncle Judson went 47 mph with my seven year old.
