Why do we, as parents, feel the need to torture our children?

I vividly remember my mother offering to pay me $5 to go to school with my "shower-cap hair".

You know, a ratted bun on the top of your head on those non-wash hair days.

I almost took her up on it a few times.

$5 could go a long way back then.

But really.

I looked ridiculous.

I offered Reese about the same to wear this ring in his nose all day.

He said no.

And just to make sure that $5 was a reasonable offer--

I tried it myself.

Totally worth it.
