You know.

Gavin is in kindergarten.

I mean.

Of course, you know.

But did you know . . .

He has gobs of homework every week
and is suppose to read 10 minutes a day?

Gees.

So to insure he's getting the proper reading time,
we've started reading chapter books together each night.

We began with this series:

Photobucket

It's actually very entertaining.

{Thank you friendly neighborhood librarian.}

Now let me tell you.

I tend to really get into the reading.
Voices and all.

{Both my parents are infamous for their "reading" voices. It's in my genes.}
Ahem, Dad, Mooney B. Finch, ahem.
Ahem, Mom, Bobo and his little blue jacket, ahem.

Now I'm not so sure Gavin loves them.

I mean.

He begs to read it every night.

But when we're done,
and this one is about dinosaurs, mind you,
his covers are pulled up to his nose.

Photobucket

But.
He begs to read it every night.

Maybe we'll quit when the nightmares begin.
