Gavin
was having a hard time eating lunch.
Imagine that.
His actions included
whining
fussing
spitting
gagging
pouting.
I sat down to help him finish
{read distract him}
when this song came on . . .
I love this song.
Like.
It's one of my ALL TIME favorites.
Ever.
Seriously.
A little piece of me melts every time I hear it.
Perfect for Valentines Day tomrorow . . .
Ever.
Seriously.
A little piece of me melts every time I hear it.
Perfect for Valentines Day tomrorow . . .
I quickly changed the words to sing
"Have you ever . . .loved a Gavin?"
Oh he really liked that.
"Have you ever . . .loved a Gavin?"
Oh he really liked that.
And he ate the rest of his lunch.
Ahh.
Sweet success.
Sweet success.
Flash forward to yesterday.
Gav and Reeser
"bowling" with our empty water bottles.
Enter Bryan Adams.
I look over to see Gav singing.
I look over to see Gav singing.
"So tell me have you ever really . . .
. . .really really ever loved . . .
. . .a Gavin."
I hope I haven't cause permanent damage.

Ha ha ha! I am pretty much a religious reader of your blog... if you can't tell by the embarrassing record left on your feedjit. But I just love it! Your kids are too cute and I love the picts you take by the way! Inspirational.
Someone's totally going to make fun of him when he sings it, but I think it's way cute. Maybe I'll sing it to him someday and really freak him out! :)
Love it!! Love the song, and how cool Gav is to pick up on stuff!
To really love Dixon Details...
Ok, sorry about the "Sees" comment...I just couldn't tell how big it was in the pic. I thought it was a donut or something! Happy Valentines and I hope you get many boxes of Sees!
Oh and in other examples of my ignorance...I thought with "in the pink" you were announcing a pregnancy. I'm glad you included the definition!
Oh wise words my friend! I will be trying this on Rylee at our next meal!
HEE HEE! That's so cute! I'm sure you haven't scarred him permanently.
He fits in perfectly with our family. We'll have the boys all grow up singing wrong lyrics to songs. Gage: "Lori to Dahl (glory to God)" Wyn: "Your garden (body) is a wonderland" and Gavin "Have you ever loved a Gavin (woman)"
I love things like this! Seriously one of my favorite parts of being a mom...and such a great song!
