If you would've ask me
when I was six
what I wanted to be when I grow up . . .

I would've told you.

A cashier.
Oh yes.

What a sweet gig.

My hands in all that cash.

Scanning stuff.

Giving receipts.

Calling the "manager" because something wouldn't scan.

The "store" in my basement [complete with food storage cans and shopping carts] maaaaay have added to my obsession.
(Am I right? Judson? Shay?)

The.time.of.our.lives.
Ahh.

So.

Imagine my excitement when I rocked the casbah
so to speak
for seven hours straight today.

Oh yeah, baby.
I'm living the dream.

I totally always wanted to be a cashier too. But most days I went with being a bank cashier. Something about putting money in those tubes and them going fast to someone outside made my day. ha ha

Only one correction. When asked what you wanted to be when you grew up you would say, "A Cash Register". When asked why, you would say, "Because all day people just hand you money." You thought, to keep...

Those were the best. I totally had that cash register too! What great toys. Glad you're living the dream finally!

K so I never wanted to be a cashier mainly because I am a retard when counting money, but i have to comment on the pic of the cash register! That is the one we had growing up and my mom STILL has it! The kids played with it over Christmas break and oh how I loved the bell as the money came out. We too would totally use the "food storage room" for our store.
I loved the jello section the best - I may have tasted the product before buying, but don't tell!
